INTRODUCTION: POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL STATUS ARE DEFINED AS THE POSITION OF THE OTHER LIMBS INTO THE GRAVITY LINE. GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION IS A SIGN OF HEALTHY MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM (1). CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS A SHORT TERM GOALS OF HUMANS LIFE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF HUMAN LIFE IS TO MAINTAIN PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, ASSESSING THE ABNORMAL BODY POSTURE THAT THE ATHLETES RESPOND TO THE THEIR TRAINING AND CORRECTIVE SOLUTIONS FOR THESE TYPE OF ABNORMALITY IS LESS CONSIDERED IN THIS FIELD (2).AS REGARD, THERE WAS NO SIMILAR STUDY IN FIELD OF THE EFFECT OF SPORT TRAINING ON POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL PROFILE ESPECIALLY IN WRESTLING SO THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO EXAMINE THE EFFECT OF 8 WEEKS PREPARATION TRAINING ON POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL PROFILE OF ELITE WRESTLERS.METHODOLOGY: SIXTEEN YOUNG WRESTLERS ATTENDING THE NATIONAL GRECO- ROMAN CAMPS PARTICIPATED IN THIS STUDY. THE EXERCISE PROGRAM CONSISTS OF 67 SESSIONS (21 SESSION REVIEWING AND PRACTICING TECHNIQUES, 16 SESSIONS OF COMBAT (LIVE) WRESTLING, 11 SESSIONS STRENGTH TRAINING, 8 SESSION INTERVAL RUNNING AND 8 SESSIONS OF ENDURANCE TRAINING EACH WEEK, 3 SESSIONS PLYOMETRIC) DUE TO THE PROBLEMS DURING THE USAGE OF BIOMECHANICAL TOOLS SUCH AS CINEMATOGRAPHY AND ELECTROGONIOMETERY FOR ASSESSMENT OF DYNAMIC SITUATION, WE USUALLY USED NONE-CONTACT METHODS OR VISUAL ASSESSMENT OF POSTURE (PHOTOGRAPHY, GRAVITY LINE AND NEW-YORK TEST). IN THIS STUDY INTENDED PURPOSE OF POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL PROFILE IS TO ASSESS THE STATUS OF THE HEAD, SHOULDER, SPINAL COLUMN, PELVIS, NECK, CHEST, TRUNK, ABDOMEN, WAIST, ANKLE AND FOOT TO THE GRAVITY LINE BY NEW-YORK VISUAL ASSESSMENT TEST (3).13 POSITIONS ASSESSED WITH THIS LINE AND SCORED IN THIS PROTOCOL. THE LOWEST DEVIATION OF THE CENTER OF GRAVITY WAS 5 POINTS, LOW DISTORTION WAS 3 POINTS AND ACUTE ABNORMALITY GOT 1 POINT.THE SUM OF THE POINTS IN EACH COLUMN SHOWS PERSONS PHYSICAL STATUS. DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS (STANDARD DEVIATION AND PERCENTAGE FREQUENCY) DESCRIBE THE POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL PROFILE AND KOLMOGOROV-SMIRNOV TEST AND PAIRED T-TEST (P≤0.05) WERE USED TO INVESTIGATE THE EFFECT OF EXERCISE ON THESE FACTORS.RESULTS: THE PAIRED T-TEST SHOWED NON-SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES FOR THE POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL VARIABLES P=0.654 (. THE MOST PREVALENCE OF SKELETAL ABNORMALITIES AMONG WRESTLERS WAS LUMBAR LORDOSIS, ROUND SHOULDER, FORWARD HEAD, LATERAL TILT OF HIP, GENU VARUM (VARUS) THAT AFTER THE TRAINING PROTOCOL SOME OF THEM SUCH AS FORWARD HEAD AND ROUND SHOULDER DECREASED AND IN THE OTHER HAND LUMBAR LORDOSIS, LATERAL TILT OF HIP AND GENU VARUM (VARUS) INCREASED.DISCUSSION: TOTALLY IN THIS INVESTIGATION THE TRAINING PROTOCOL DOES NOT SHOW SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN POSTURAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL PROFILE BUT IT EFFECTS ON THEIR FREQUENCY. AT THE FIRST OF TRAINING SEASON MOST OF THESE ABNORMALITIES THAT BELONG TO THE UPPER EXTREMITIES WHICH ARE RELATED TO THE WEAKNESS OF NON-DOMINANT LIMB AND MORE DOMINANT LIMB UTILIZE IN COMPARISON OF THE CORRESPONDING LIMB. LUMBAR LORDOSIS IS THE MOST PREVALENCE ABNORMALITIES AMONG GRECO- ROMAN WRESTLERS. IT SEEMS THAT IN TRAINING SCHEDULE SPECIAL ATTENTION SHOULD BE PAID TO THE STRETCHING OF HIP FLEXOR AND SPINE EXTENSOR AND IN THE OTHER HAND, STRENGTHEN OF ABDOMINAL, GLUTEAL AND HAMSTRINGS.
